My Tryst with Flowers
As with most girls, my first love too as a child was flowers, flowers n more flowers. To this day flowers take center stage during most of our photo shoots.
I always end up finding a good reason to add some blooming beauties to a festive Diwali or a Spring theme or to create a vintage look.
Flowers quintessentially are everywhere around what I do!
I also fondly reminisce those long sojourns with friends and cousins during our holiday breaks, getting our dolls married amongst a frenzy of flowers, making mini tents, garlands and our hair decoration with a liberal use of beautiful blooms of the season. Be it a Champa, a Haar Shringaar, an Amaltas, a Genda, a Gulaab, a Gudhel or Chenar ke phool we adorned them all! I fondly remember too the torans we used to make out of mango tree leaves, plucking the kachcha Aam from the neighbours tree.
I think my love for making clothes and my eventual calling also found its roots through those petals we used to play with, inspiring me to create a life time of memories in fabrics for our would be brides, their grooms and the baraatis.
